We are a nonprofit organization that promotes the health, safety, and wellness of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, intersex, and asexual young people throughout the United States.

With the help of our allies, donors, and partners, we strive to build and foster accepting and welcoming communities for young people and their families.

The Facts

Every 45 seconds an 2SLGBTQ+ young person attempts suicide. That's 1,920 every single day. 700,800 every single year.

During the past 12 months:

48% of LGB / 60% of trans & nonbinary youth engaged in self-harm.
60% of 2SLGBTQ+ young people who sought mental health care were unable to attain it.
24% of transgender youth were threatened or injured with a weapon at school.
27% of transgender students didn't feel safe going to school.

Our Mission

Rainbow Youth Project USA strives to empower and

uplift the voices of 2SLGBTQ+ young people through

various platforms, programs, and legislative initiatives while educating the general public to effectuate positive change

and a more inclusive world for everyone.

Rainbow Youth Project USA is dedicated to providing a variety of services to 2SLGBTQ+ young people

across the United States, in both urban and rural areas. We are unwavering in our mission to achieve

full recognition of the civil rights of 2SLGBTQ+ young people .

CRISIS HOTLINE

2SLGBTQ+ youth in the U.S. can access 24/7 crisis and resource support by calling 317-643-4888. Mental Health Services – free or low-cost counseling services for 2SLGBTQ+ youth is available through third-party providers.
